Spectators: 7454 (Terracing: 5591, Seating: 1714, VIP seats: 149) Eduardo Araoz started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Javier Roderigo was a little too slow when Ragnar Fribäck got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 3rd minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 6thth minute of the game Ragnar Fribäck who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Deportivo Messina's Javier Roderigo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. JKs Talanger's Matthias Fransson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eduardo Araoz in the 12th minute of play. In the 13th match minute, JKs Talanger was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Abrahamsson to maneuver through the defense. In the 23rd minute Ragnar Fribäck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Javier Roderigo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 27th minute, Leandro Vasco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Deportivo Messina fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Eduardo Araoz took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Matthias Fransson. Matthias Fransson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ragnar Fribäck in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Javier Roderigo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Eduardo Araoz took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Matthias Fransson. Matthias Fransson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. Deportivo Messina's Fabian Rodas was substituted for Leandro Vasco. Disappointed in the 2-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ragnar Fribäck made a kick off. Matthias Fransson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eduardo Araoz in the 55th minute. Fabian Rodas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Matthias Fransson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match clock showed 71 minutes, the score became 3-3 when Olov Hellkvist sped through Deportivo Messina's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Javier Roderigo. Daniel Abrahamsson kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Matthias Fransson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Paolo Mantzio in the 78th minute. After a rather tough play, JKs Talanger's Daniel Abrahamsson got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Fabian Rodas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Vinicio Paio came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Deportivo Messina fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vinicio Paio couldn't finish the play. Matthias Fransson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabian Rodas in the 94th minute of the match. Deportivo Messina's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because JKs Talanger had won, even though Deportivo Messina had held more of the ball.
