Pieter-Jan Rummens started the match with the kick off. Noel Imbreghts took the ball and in the 4 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Matthias Fransson. Matthias Fransson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Noel Imbreghts scored 2-0 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Matthias Fransson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, FC Ouagadougou National's Peter-Jan Goovaers got a free kick in the 18th minute. Antonio Claeys took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ragnar Fribäck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pieter-Jan Rummens in the 24th minute of play forced JKs Talanger's goalkeeper Matthias Fransson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Josef Adelsköld kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. FC Ouagadougou National's Pieter-Jan Rummens was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 45th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

Antonio Claeys showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olov Hellkvist in the 51st minute of the match. 62 minutes into the match, JKs Talanger's goal looked a bit too open when Pieter-Jan Rummens came free, but Matthias Fransson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 69 minutes into the match, Noel Imbreghts had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Matthias Fransson. JKs Talanger's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Noel Imbreghts was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-1. Antonio Claeys showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olov Hellkvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. 94 minutes into the match, FC Ouagadougou National's goal looked a bit too open when Ragnar Fribäck came free, but Antonio Claeys reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
