With a couple of smart ball manuevers Youri Goolen in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Javier Roderigo saved Deportivo Messina from getting behind. 33 minutes into the match, Youri Goolen notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Deportivo Messina's Javier Roderigo. Javier Roderigo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 37 played minutes Deportivo Messina got a freekick which was hit by Mauricio Cordarrell. 43 minutes into the game, Deportivo Messina's Eduardo Araoz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jannes Swartenbroekx made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The throw-in from Vicente Dechamps in the 83rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Deportivo Messina's Vinicio Paio. After a rather tough play, Flamenco United's Edward Wuyts got a free kick in the 88th minute. If Fabian Rodas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Theo Van Haght kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Deportivo Messina had played much better football throughout.
