After a rather tough play, Sportivo Chupeño's Delmar Abaunza got a free kick in the 23rd minute. A collision led to Deportivo Messina getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Leandro Vasco hit a great ball. Aaron Beturian hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. 32 minutes into the match, Deportivo Messina's goal looked a bit too open when Ascencio Abechuco came free, but Javier Roderigo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Misael Abarca in the 76th minute of play forced Deportivo Messina's goalkeeper Javier Roderigo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Chepe Abel's late challenge caught a Deportivo Messina's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 92nd minute, Ascencio Abechuco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sportivo Chupeño fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Misael Abarca in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Javier Roderigo saved Deportivo Messina from getting behind. Deportivo Messina's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
