After 18 played minutes Deportivo Messina got a freekick which was hit by Fabio Atarratze. Jannes Swartenbroekx didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eduardo Araoz went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Youri Goolen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Javier Roderigo made a huge save. When the match clock showed 30 minutes, the score became 1-3 when Jacobo Cortez sped through Flamenco United's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jannes Swartenbroekx. Javier Roderigo made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Youri Goolen sent off a good shot on target. Leandro Vasco struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Jannes Swartenbroekx didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Deportivo Messina. Javier Roderigo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Youri Goolen's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Messina's Leandro Vasco got a free kick in the 44th minute. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Youri Goolen to make the kick off. Javier Roderigo came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Flamenco United's Youri Goolen. But to his dismay, Youri Goolen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. In the 60th minute Youri Goolen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Javier Roderigo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Flamenco United made a substitution. Edward Wuyts replaced Youri Goolen. In the 62nd minute, Herminio Cordeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eduardo Araoz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Javier Roderigo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edward Wuyts in the 68th minute of the match. When Theo Van Haght fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Flamenco United's protests and gave Theo Van Haght a yellow card for diving instead. Theo Van Haght kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. When Flamenco United's Edward Wuyts in the 73rd minute got a chance for a shot 73rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Deportivo Messina's goalie prevented a goal. In the 74th match minute, Deportivo Messina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paolo Mantzio to maneuver through the defense. Eduardo Araoz in the 77thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jannes Swartenbroekx, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 82 minutes, Paolo Mantzio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Deportivo Messina and the Flamenco United players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Deportivo Messina getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Paolo Mantzio hit a great ball. 84 minutes into the match, Deportivo Messina's goal looked a bit too open when Edward Wuyts came free, but Javier Roderigo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 90 minutes, Edward Wuyts put it in 3-3 from a short distance just to the right of Javier Roderigo. When the match had gone on for 95 minutes, Edward Wuyts put it in 4-3 from a short distance just to the right of Javier Roderigo. The Flamenco United players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
