Golden Generation's Edelmiro Garcia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Esat Demirağ in the 34th minute of play. Oğuzhan Seci recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alfonso Olivar to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Micki Essien hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of ＡＳＹＡ booed when Golden Generation was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gregorio Gilesindo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edelmiro Garcia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Esat Demirağ in the 59th minute of the match. After having played for 63 minutes, Esat Demirağ managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ＡＳＹＡ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Esat Demirağ was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 65 minutes into the game, Golden Generation's Apolo Fernendo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hüsmen Kutlualp made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Gökay Beşer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edelmiro Garcia didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Esat Demirağ went, in the 72nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Doğan Sönmezalp managed to get in a good position for a shot. ＡＳＹＡ's supporters rose to their feet, but Doğan Sönmezalp was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edelmiro Garcia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Edelmiro Garcia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Esat Demirağ, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Despite being the better team, ＡＳＹＡ failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
