The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When %teams%'s Jeremias Pinheiro was free in front of goal, he didn't hesitate to shoot 1-0 just inside the left pole, 3 minutes into the game. Wade Stacy was annoyed at himself for letting in the shot. In the 8th minute Johnathan Mohr shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oscar Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 11th minute Charlotte FC were awarded a corner. Ruben Romano went to the cornerflag to take it. Ruben Romano made a great header on Charlotte FC's corner, it was just that UPTEXTIL.COM's Oscar Azevedo managed to reach the ball for a save. 12 minutes into the match, Charlotte FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jeremias Pinheiro came free, but Wade Stacy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Oscar Azevedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roger Dobbs in the 13th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in UPTEXTIL.COM's zone, Cedric Frazier stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oscar Azevedo came out of the goal and Cedric Frazier tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jeremias Pinheiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 18thth minute of the game Thiago Furtado who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Charlotte FC's Wade Stacy was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thiago Furtado took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wade Stacy. Wade Stacy dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Wade Stacy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dinei Proença in the 22nd minute of play. Wade Stacy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thiago Furtado in the 24th minute of the match. Oscar Azevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roger Dobbs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Jeremias Pinheiro came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the UPTEXTIL.COM fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jeremias Pinheiro couldn't finish the play. After 32 played minutes Charlotte FC got a freekick which was hit by Marlon Burr. Dinei Proença charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dinei Proença the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Charlotte FC booed when UPTEXTIL.COM was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dinei Proença didn't get a good kick on the ball. Oscar Azevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cedric Frazier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 38 minutes into the match, Jeremias Pinheiro dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Wade Stacy, 3-0. Jeremias Pinheiro came free with the goalkeeper in the 42nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Wade Stacy could save by the left post. 43 minutes into the match, Charlotte FC's goalkeeper Wade Stacy had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jeremias Pinheiro. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.
58 minutes into the match, Thiago Furtado had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wade Stacy. Charlotte FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Thiago Furtado was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Charlotte FC's goalkeeper Wade Stacy, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 64 minutes into the game, Ediberto Marinho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. UPTEXTIL.COM's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Charlotte FC the free kick. The long shot by Ruben Romano in the 65th minute really tested Oscar Azevedo's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 67th minute, Jeremias Pinheiro made a precise shot to the right of Wade Stacy. Charlotte FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. After 84 minutes of play, UPTEXTIL.COM's Jeremias Pinheiro made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wade Stacy was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 87 minutes, Jeremias Pinheiro made it 8-0 with a short kick to the right side. Charlotte FC's Wade Stacy tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Wade Stacy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thiago Furtado in the 93rd minute of play. In the 96th minute, Charlotte FC's Roger Dobbs dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 8-1. UPTEXTIL.COM walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
