Acilia Town's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aloisio Munet was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valentin Folle in the 14th minute of play forced Acilia Town's goalkeeper Camillo Sciotto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Acilia Town's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fabio Baruffa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lugo Manes got free with Camillo Sciotto in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
