In the 2nd minute, Flávio Gomes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cestarolli FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. If Aírton Toledo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wade Stacy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Flávio Gomes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 12 minutes into the game, Aírton Toledo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Wade Stacy was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Neno Cestarolli kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Aírton Toledo took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wade Stacy. Wade Stacy dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. When the match had gone on for 23 minutes, Roger Dobbs took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Laércio de Almeida to make any attempt to save it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Flávio Gomes in the 27th minute of play forced Charlotte FC's goalkeeper Wade Stacy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Dwayne Corbett fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Charlotte FC's protests and gave Dwayne Corbett a yellow card for diving instead. In the 29th match minute, Charlotte FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dwayne Corbett to maneuver through the defense. Cestarolli FC's Laércio de Almeida played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roger Dobbs in the 31st minute of play. After 32 played minutes Charlotte FC got a freekick which was hit by Dwayne Corbett. 34 minutes into the match, Charlotte FC's goal looked a bit too open when Flávio Gomes came free, but Wade Stacy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aírton Toledo struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Wade Stacy didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cestarolli FC. 40 minutes in the game Dwayne Corbett did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Bobby Miranda. The supporters of Cestarolli FC booed when Charlotte FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dudley Vickers didn't get a good kick on the ball. 44 minutes into the match, Charlotte FC's goal looked a bit too open when Neno Cestarolli came free, but Wade Stacy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 47th minute there was a penalty for Charlotte FC. Ruben Romano stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Laércio de Almeida. 2-3. After the first half Cestarolli FC were leading 2-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Flávio Gomes made a kick off. Laércio de Almeida showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roger Dobbs, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. After a rather tough play, Cestarolli FC's Aírton Toledo got a free kick in the 60th minute. 62 minutes into the match, Cestarolli FC's goal looked a bit too open when Roger Dobbs came free, but Laércio de Almeida reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Laércio de Almeida showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roger Dobbs in the 65th minute of the match. Flávio Gomes was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 69th minute. Cestarolli FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Neno Cestarolli hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. In the 75th match minute, Charlotte FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dwayne Corbett to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Charlotte FC defense, Aírton Toledo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wade Stacy. The Charlotte FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wade Stacy should have stopped the shot. In the 84th match minute, Charlotte FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dwayne Corbett to maneuver through the defense. Aírton Toledo took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wade Stacy. Wade Stacy dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-5. 95 minutes into the game, Dudley Vickers was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Charlotte FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cestarolli FC the free kick. Cestarolli FC made a substitution. Leandro Linhares replaced William Proença. Dudley Vickers hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. 98 minutes into the game, Flávio Gomes recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Wade Stacy. Flávio Gomes showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-6.
