Ellsworth Lindsay's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 5thth minute, Camillo Sciotto skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Ellsworth Lindsay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Camillo Sciotto having to interfere. Ellsworth Lindsays short, quick shot in the 10thth minute got Camillo Sciotto to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A hard shot 17 in the game by Ellsworth Lindsay from a close distance when the talented Camillo Sciotto managed to make a qualified save. Acilia Town's players were relieved. After 21 minutes, Bernardo Alleva mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Acilia Town and the Varennes players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 21st minute of the game. One of Acilia Town:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Varennes:s goal. Felice Burgnich received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Brice Leach tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Armando Villa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Acilia Town's goalkeeper Camillo Sciotto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Through an outstanding action, after 36 minutes, Camillo Sciotto successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 37th minute Owen Purcell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Camillo Sciotto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bernardo Alleva kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Acilia Town's Camillo Sciotto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lee Coffman in the 46th minute of play. Acilia Town made a substitution. Ettore Valeriani replaced Amedeo Mazza. After 49 minutes Acilia Town's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Randell McCullough who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Randell McCullough almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Acilia Town's Camillo Sciotto did a great save. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fabio Baruffa was the one to do the kick off. Camillo Sciotto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Owen Purcell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ellsworth Lindsay hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ellsworth Lindsay in the 60th minute of play forced Acilia Town's goalkeeper Camillo Sciotto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 62nd minute, Cesare Pietrangelo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Camillo Sciotto came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Varennes's Ellsworth Lindsay. But to his dismay, Ellsworth Lindsay quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Bernardo Alleva hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Ellsworth Lindsay took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Camillo Sciotto. Camillo Sciotto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. When Gale Laliberté fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Varennes's protests and gave Gale Laliberté a yellow card for diving instead. After 76 played minutes Varennes got a freekick which was hit by Gale Laliberté. Armando Villa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 81st minute Ellsworth Lindsay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Camillo Sciotto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lee Coffman in the 82nd minute of play forced Acilia Town's goalkeeper Camillo Sciotto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 82 minutes into the match, Acilia Town's goal looked a bit too open when Lee Coffman came free, but Camillo Sciotto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Irving Dugan kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Fabio Baruffa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 89th minute, Owen Purcell ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Camillo Sciotto was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. A collision led to Varennes getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Randell McCullough hit a great ball. Diego Garofalo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Brice Leach read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 97th minute of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Varennes fully deserved thier win.
