After 2 played minutes Club Olimpia got a freekick which was hit by Aquiles Saavedra. Cestarolli FC's Neno Cestarolli couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Club Olimpia. Cestarolli FC's Júlio Souza got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Laércio de Almeida showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cebo Morejon, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Cássio Cestarolli made in the 10th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Flávio Gomes however managed to control. In the 15th minute Emerson Lira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cordeal Pantojas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Medero Quevedo's late challenge caught a Cestarolli FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Medero Quevedo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 15th minute, Medero Quevedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Perico Porregimon made in the 18th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Cebo Morejon however managed to control. In the 21st minute of the match Cestarolli FC got a corner. Club Olimpia's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Neno Cestarolli ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Neno Cestarolli got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Cordeal Pantojas quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After a rather tough play, Cestarolli FC's Flávio Gomes got a free kick in the 24th minute. Paulo Cabrera lost his temper 26 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Club Olimpia fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 25th minute. Penalty! An unexpectedly hard shot by Emerson Lira in the 30th minute of play forced Club Olimpia's goalkeeper Cordeal Pantojas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eliazar Salantes got free with Laércio de Almeida in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Cestarolli FC getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Emerson Lira hit a great ball. Rubio Guardia charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rubio Guardia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Cordeal Pantojas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emerson Lira in the 42nd minute of the match. After the first half Cestarolli FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Club Olimpia made a substitution. Cordarrol Tama replaced Cebo Morejon. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Flávio Gomes to make the kick off. In the 60th minute, Perico Porregimon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Flávio Gomes struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Cordeal Pantojas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cestarolli FC. After 67 played minutes Cestarolli FC's Emerson Lira stole the ball from his opponents and shot the ball towards the upper left corner, but Cordeal Pantojas stretched himself as far as he could, and stopped the ball from passing the line. robbing Club Olimpia of the goal. The Club Olimpia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. 90 minutes into the match, Cestarolli FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cordarrol Tama came free, but Laércio de Almeida reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 94 minutes into the match, Club Olimpia's goalkeeper Cordeal Pantojas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Emerson Lira. Cordeal Pantojas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Flávio Gomes, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. When Flávio Gomes came up free with the goalie in the 98th minute, the Cestarolli FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Flávio Gomes couldn't finish the play. The Cestarolli FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Cestarolli FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
