In the 38th minute, AFC FUSION's Ruperto Chepe seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Ruperto Chepe the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of AFC FUSION protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Ruperto Chepe had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Cristobal Bermudez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 1-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cristobal Bermudez to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute of the match AFC FUSION got a corner. Wolves Academy's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Nunez Arias ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well done corner resulted in Zacarias Silbestre drilling the ball in to score 1-5 behind Wolves Academy's goalkeeper. Gerardo Beila showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nichifor Hurezan, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. If Cristobal Bermudez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gonzalo Garaona kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. In the 71st match minute, Wolves Academy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by George Zglobiu to maneuver through the defense. Cristobal Bermudez's late challenge caught a Wolves Academy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cristobal Bermudez helped the player get up and apologised. Costel Mutu scored 2-6 in the 77th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gerardo Beila, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match had gone on for 80 minutes, Nunez Arias took a quick shot and it went in 2-7 without a chance for Emilian Stoiculescu to make any attempt to save it. After a rather tough play, AFC FUSION's Nunez Arias got a free kick in the 84th minute. Emilian Stoiculescu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristobal Bermudez in the 85th minute. Emilian Stoiculescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nunez Arias in the 86th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Cristobal Bermudez managed to get in a good position for a shot. AFC FUSION's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristobal Bermudez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emilian Stoiculescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 95 minutes into the game, AFC FUSION's Nunez Arias nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Emilian Stoiculescu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-8. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched AFC FUSION eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
