An unexpected shot in the 22nd minute by Anderson Teles got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Ernani Dracena hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. A collision led to Villa Gordiani getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Attilio Iob hit a great ball. In the 40th match minute, Villa Gordiani was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anfilogino Zico to maneuver through the defense. Vladimir Almeidas short, quick shot in the 45thth minute got Ciro Del Vecchio to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

In the 95thth minute of the game Vladimir Almeida who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Villa Gordiani's Ciro Del Vecchio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
