Petruț Crivac showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's Vlad Covrig played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vágner Sergipano in the 21st minute of play. Paulo Renato Dracena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Calistrat Şerbănescu in the 24th minute of the match. Eric Astafei received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Paulo Renato Dracena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 26th minute, Rubens Félix got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's Petruț Crivac got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 34th minute, Mircea Jupân hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Through an outstanding action, after 36 minutes, Paulo Renato Dracena successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Belo Academy's Paulo Renato Dracena proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Belo Academy from getting a goal against them. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca were furious when Sorin Nicorici was red carded, 52 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 53rd match minute, PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sorin Nicorici to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's Eric Astafei got a free kick in the 56th minute. When the match had gone on for 61 minutes, Damian Cârlan put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Paulo Renato Dracena. Sebastian Istodor ran back to his position shaking his head. 76 minutes into the match, Damian Cârlan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Paulo Renato Dracena. Belo Academy's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Damian Cârlan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. After 80 played minutes PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca got a freekick which was hit by Olimpiu Fecioru. When Eric Astafei fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's protests and gave Eric Astafei a yellow card for diving instead. Eric Astafei hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Sebastian Istodor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute.
