The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Nelson Cloarec showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Caco Corrêa in the 3rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Werneck FC - DMZ's Tiago Freitas got a free kick in the 6th minute. Formation Pure Lyonnaise's Nelson Cloarec played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Caco Corrêa in the 10th minute of play. In the 14th minute, Cyril Chevron hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Zé Paulo Lara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 16th minute Breno Zonta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nelson Cloarec saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 16th minute, Breno Zonta left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Werneck FC - DMZ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 24 minutes into the match, Formation Pure Lyonnaise's goal looked a bit too open when Jacinto das Neves came free, but Nelson Cloarec reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 26th minute, Tiago Freitas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Werneck FC - DMZ's Fabiano Massa got a free kick in the 28th minute. Pascal Collon's late challenge caught a Werneck FC - DMZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pascal Collon helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Formation Pure Lyonnaise's Pascal Collon got a free kick in the 34th minute. Felix Nourry kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Gaspard Letourneux kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Breno Zonta took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nelson Cloarec. Nelson Cloarec dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Caco Corrêa in the 48th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nelson Cloarec prevented the ball from getting in the gole.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Caco Corrêa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Formation Pure Lyonnaise getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Pascal Collon hit a great ball. 55 minutes into the match, Formation Pure Lyonnaise's goal looked a bit too open when Breno Zonta came free, but Nelson Cloarec reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 59th minute, Tiago Freitas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nelson Cloarec was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Zé Paulo Lara's late challenge caught a Formation Pure Lyonnaise's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After 64 minutes, Mohamed-Ali Duparc mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Formation Pure Lyonnaise and the Werneck FC - DMZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tiago Freitas couldn't finish the play. Nelson Cloarec showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Breno Zonta, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Caco Corrêas short, quick shot in the 85thth minute got Nelson Cloarec to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 95 played minutes Formation Pure Lyonnaise got a freekick which was hit by Hamza Le Forestier. When Zé Paulo Lara came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Werneck FC - DMZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zé Paulo Lara couldn't finish the play. Werneck FC - DMZ played a much better game than Formation Pure Lyonnaise and deserved their victory. The Formation Pure Lyonnaise players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
