Douglas de Amaral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Pedro do Nascimento having to interfere. The supporters of Gurdurão booed when Fala Sério FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lino Lopez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fala Sério FC's João Pedro do Nascimento proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Fala Sério FC from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Fala Sério FC's Elano de Sousa got a free kick in the 23rd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pepe Giliamsen got free with João Pedro do Nascimento in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Pepe Giliamsen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. João Pedro do Nascimento tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dalmo Santos made a kick off. Wilson Vianna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Pedro Paraense in the 52nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pepe Giliamsen in the 57th minute of play forced Fala Sério FC's goalkeeper João Pedro do Nascimento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sandrinho Cabral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gurdurão's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dalmo Santos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gurdurão's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
