Spectators: 7441 (Terracing: 5582, Seating: 1711, VIP seats: 148) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Elano de Sousa started the match with the kick off. If Elano de Sousa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Afonso Pitta in the 7th minute of play forced Bandeirinha AD's goalkeeper Teodoro Meireles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 8 minutes into the match, José Pedro Paraense had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Teodoro Meireles. Bandeirinha AD's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that José Pedro Paraense was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Ramiro Coutinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Pedro do Nascimento having to interfere. A collision led to Fala Sério FC getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Lino Lopez hit a great ball. Teodoro Meireles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elano de Sousa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Elano de Sousa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teodoro Meireles having to interfere. Teodoro Meireles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elano de Sousa in the 29th minute of play. João Pedro do Nascimento showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andrézinho Valladares in the 30th minute of the match. Teodoro Meireles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elano de Sousa, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. When Ramiro Coutinho came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Bandeirinha AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ramiro Coutinho couldn't finish the play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Falcão Gaspar stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ramiro Coutinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Bandeirinha AD booed when Fala Sério FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Léo Pelé didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 56 played minutes, Bandeirinha AD's Gláuber Fernandes shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper João Pedro do Nascimento came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Bandeirinha AD reached it. Elano de Sousa was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 62nd minute. Fala Sério FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 64 minutes into the match, Bandeirinha AD's goal looked a bit too open when Elano de Sousa came free, but Teodoro Meireles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Afonso Pitta kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Bandeirinha AD's Washington Valadares quite brazenly broke a throw-in by William Papin, made in the 68th minute of the game. In the 70th minute of the match Gláuber Fernandes sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but João Pedro do Nascimento skillfully saved the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when José Pedro Paraense got free with Teodoro Meireles in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 78th minute Lino Lopez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teodoro Meireles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 80 minutes into the game, Dé Linares was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fala Sério FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bandeirinha AD the free kick. Ramiro Coutinho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Elano de Sousa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Afonso Pitta managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fala Sério FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Afonso Pitta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Teodoro Meireles breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Teodoro Meireles made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Olavo Massa sent off a good shot on target. Andrézinho Valladares kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. Dé Linares was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 97th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Fala Sério FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
