After a defensive mix-up in Fala Sério FC's zone, Mohamed-Ali Duparc stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. João Pedro do Nascimento came out of the goal and Mohamed-Ali Duparc tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nelson Cloarec showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elano de Sousa in the 23rd minute of the match. After having played for 24 minutes, Léo Pelé managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fala Sério FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Léo Pelé was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. José Pedro Paraense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nelson Cloarec having to interfere. 28 minutes into the game, Davy Giacomoni cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. João Pedro do Nascimento was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Mohamed-Ali Duparc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Elano de Sousa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nelson Cloarec having to make a save. If José Pedro Paraense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Formation Pure Lyonnaise were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Davy Giacomoni to strike the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, José Pedro Paraense had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nelson Cloarec. Formation Pure Lyonnaise's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that José Pedro Paraense was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eugênio Couto during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When the match clock showed 67 minutes, the score became 2-1 when José Pedro Paraense sped through Formation Pure Lyonnaise's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Nelson Cloarec. In the 71st minute, Elano de Sousa made a precise shot to the right of Nelson Cloarec. Formation Pure Lyonnaise's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. José Pedro Paraense's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nelson Cloarec read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. 86 minutes into the game, Fala Sério FC's José Pedro Paraense nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nelson Cloarec made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. Nelson Cloarec came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Fala Sério FC's José Pedro Paraense. But to his dismay, José Pedro Paraense quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Fala Sério FC fully deserved thier win.
