Wellington Fernandes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedrinho Hoffmann in the 3rd minute of play. Eulalio Montrel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agostinho Maraschin, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. In the 5th minute, Alfredinho Faria made a precise shot to the right of Eulalio Montrel. Atlético-PR's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After a rather tough play, Atlético-PR's Peng Chao Feng got a free kick in the 7th minute. 12 minutes into the match, Jaroslaw Kolbe notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Atlético-PR's Eulalio Montrel. Eulalio Montrel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Wellington Fernandes made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Yang Ke Xun sent off a good shot on target. Eulalio Montrel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agostinho Maraschin, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. The Atlético-PR fans' excitement grew in the 42nd match minute when Atlético-PR's Pedrinho Hoffmann looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pedrinho Hoffmann stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Eulalio Montrel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredinho Faria, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pedrinho Hoffmann in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wellington Fernandes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Rua Ferreira Viana F.C.'s zone, Pedrinho Hoffmann stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wellington Fernandes came out of the goal and Pedrinho Hoffmann tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Atlético-PR's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ren Ang Ming in the 60th minute. The corner led to Atlético-PR's Eugênio Azevedo getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Atlético-PR's Eulalio Montrel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Paes in the 74th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hong Jian Fan in the 77th minute of play forced Rua Ferreira Viana F.C.'s goalkeeper Wellington Fernandes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 89 minutes into the match, Jaroslaw Kolbe had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eulalio Montrel. Atlético-PR's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jaroslaw Kolbe was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-3. The supporters of Rua Ferreira Viana F.C. booed when Atlético-PR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yang Ke Xun didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 94th minute, Hong Jian Fan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Atlético-PR fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-3. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Atlético-PR had won after a very even match.
