Spectators: 7481 (Terracing: 5612, Seating: 1720, VIP seats: 149) La Vieja Guarida FC's Teodosio Aritza started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 played minutes Nina fc got a freekick which was hit by Edgard Heriberto. Nina fc's Lucio Hernandez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teodosio Aritza in the 7th minute of play. In the 10th minute, Teodosio Aritza ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lucio Hernandez was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. A collision led to Nina fc getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Arturo Ariando hit a great ball. Lucio Hernandez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teodosio Aritza in the 14th minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, Carlos Lidon had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lucio Hernandez. Nina fc's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Carlos Lidon was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After some careless play in the Nina fc defense, Teodosio Aritza kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lucio Hernandez. The Nina fc fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lucio Hernandez should have stopped the shot. In the 25thth minute of the game Teodosio Aritza who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Nina fc's Lucio Hernandez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 30 played minutes Nina fc got a freekick which was hit by Arnaldo Dubardo. 31 minutes into the match, Nina fc's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Lidon came free, but Lucio Hernandez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 32 minutes of play, La Vieja Guarida FC's Teodosio Aritza made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lucio Hernandez was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some careless play in the Nina fc defense, Nemesio Cordarell kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lucio Hernandez. The Nina fc fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lucio Hernandez should have stopped the shot. Carlos Lidon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lucio Hernandez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teodosio Aritza in the 46th minute of play. After the first half La Vieja Guarida FC were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edgard Heriberto was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adolfo Natanael in the 52nd minute of play forced Nina fc's goalkeeper Lucio Hernandez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lucio Hernandez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hector Gonsalvo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Ciriaco Frederik fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nina fc's protests and gave Ciriaco Frederik a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Nina fc booed when La Vieja Guarida FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adolfo Natanael didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Nina fc defense, Teodosio Aritza kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lucio Hernandez. The Nina fc fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lucio Hernandez should have stopped the shot. After 65 minutes, Zacarias Iigo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the La Vieja Guarida FC and the Nina fc players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 68th minute, Sergio Locaio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nina fc's defense didn't have a chance, in the 80th minute, when Cleto Rodas scored to the left of an out of position Lucio Hernandez, making the score, 0-7. In the 83rd minute, Teodosio Aritza left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The La Vieja Guarida FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-8. Lucio Hernandez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teodosio Aritza in the 90th minute of play. In the 92nd match minute, Nina fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ciriaco Frederik to maneuver through the defense. 96 minutes into the match, Nina fc's goal looked a bit too open when Cleto Rodas came free, but Lucio Hernandez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. La Vieja Guarida FC played a much better game than Nina fc and deserved their victory. The Nina fc players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
