An unexpectedly hard shot by Braulio Toli in the 7th minute of play forced Atlético-PR's goalkeeper Eulalio Montrel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 11th match minute, Atlético-PR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hermínio Branco to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pedrinho Hoffmann during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 85 minutes of play, JEC - FC's Julio Baptista made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eulalio Montrel was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Eugênio Azevedo fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Atlético-PR's protests and gave Eugênio Azevedo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 89th minute, the referee gave JEC - FC a penalty. Alexandre Tepedino looked confident and blasted the ball into goal by the left post, totally unstoppable for Eulalio Montrel. 94 minutes into the game, Braulio Toli was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. JEC - FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Atlético-PR the free kick. After 94 played minutes JEC - FC got a freekick which was hit by Braulio Toli. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. JEC - FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
