After some careless play in the SE Palmeiras defense, Carmine Di Lullo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nilson Dracena. The SE Palmeiras fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nilson Dracena should have stopped the shot. In the 30th match minute, SE Palmeiras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Basílio do Valle to maneuver through the defense. In the 31stth minute of the game Carmine Di Lullo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SE Palmeiras's Nilson Dracena was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 32 minutes had been played when some careless play by SE Palmeiras's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner.
