The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Juventus EC booed when Botinho FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gilson Nogueira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dadá Falcão hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Hílton Magalhães showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enéas Urbano, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Eriberto Rocha hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Serafim Bittencourt might have been able to make a better finish in the 8th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hílton Magalhães. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Serafim Bittencourt ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience was convinced that Serafim Bittencourt's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hílton Magalhães was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. Bernardinho Penha hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. In the 17th minute Enéas Urbano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hílton Magalhães saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 25th minute, Afonso Luz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mateus de Senna came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Botinho FC's Gilson Nogueira. But to his dismay, Gilson Nogueira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Bernardinho Penha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mateus de Senna having to interfere. 36 minutes into the match, Botinho FC's goal looked a bit too open when Serafim Bittencourt came free, but Hílton Magalhães reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A nice corner shot did that Frederico Recife got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Hílton Magalhães quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The supporters of Botinho FC booed when Juventus EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernani Paraense didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mateus de Senna made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Bernardinho Penha sent off a good shot on target. After 46 minutes of play, Juventus EC's Frederico Recife made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hílton Magalhães was left in no man's land by his defense there! Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The wind increased when Bernardinho Penha made the kick off in the second half. Mateus de Senna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardinho Penha in the 55th minute of play. After having played for 58 minutes, Gilson Nogueira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Botinho FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gilson Nogueira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Serafim Bittencourt in the 63rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Hílton Magalhães, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Mateus de Senna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernardinho Penha, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. After 71 minutes of play, Botinho FC's Dadá Falcão made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mateus de Senna was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Juventus EC booed when Botinho FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gilson Nogueira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mateus de Senna came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by Botinho FC's Christiano Rezende. But to his dismay, Christiano Rezende quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-3. In the 79th match minute, Juventus EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Afonso Luz to maneuver through the defense. 84 minutes into the game, Botinho FC's Bernardinho Penha nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mateus de Senna made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-3. Mateus de Senna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dadá Falcão in the 93rd minute of play. Botinho FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
