Anastasios Perakis came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Average Joes's Per Rolandsson. But to his dismay, Per Rolandsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Average Joes's Victoriano Abel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Theofilos Touboulis in the 13th minute of play. Anastasios Perakis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pål Askestät in the 14th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pål Askestät in the 16th minute of play forced Olympiacos FC's goalkeeper Anastasios Perakis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 18th minute, Zé Roberto Sousa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Panos Ntountas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Anastasios Perakis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arthur Saba in the 20th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pål Askestät in the 21st minute of play forced Olympiacos FC's goalkeeper Anastasios Perakis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Lazaros Tsakrilis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yavuz Bülent Özger in the 25th minute of play forced Olympiacos FC's goalkeeper Anastasios Perakis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Giorgos Soufleris lost his temper 28 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Giorgos Soufleris hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Panos Ntountas hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Anastasios Perakis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pål Askestät, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Olympiacos FC's Anastasios Perakis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Per Rolandsson in the 41st minute of play. In the 41st minute Per Rolandsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anastasios Perakis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Victoriano Abel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Theofilos Touboulis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arthur Saba during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Average Joes's Arthur Saba got a free kick in the 45th minute. Soulis Partalis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Victoriano Abel made a huge save. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Average Joes made a substitution. Nils-Emil Gulliksson replaced Lukas Bäckman. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Theofilos Touboulis made a kick off. Anastasios Perakis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Per Rolandsson in the 56th minute of play. In the 58th minute, Panos Ntountas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 59 played minutes, Average Joes's Filipp Krupatkih shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Anastasios Perakis came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Average Joes reached it. 62 minutes into the match, Average Joes's goal looked a bit too open when Lazaros Tsakrilis came free, but Victoriano Abel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Per Rolandsson in the 68th minute of play forced Olympiacos FC's goalkeeper Anastasios Perakis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Olympiacos FC booed when Average Joes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yavuz Bülent Özger didn't get a good kick on the ball. Olympiacos FC's Anastasios Perakis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Per Rolandsson in the 73rd minute of play. Markos Kareklopoulos hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Average Joes's Jeremias Silban was substituted for Per Rolandsson. After 78 played minutes Olympiacos FC got a freekick which was hit by Markos Kareklopoulos. Arthur Saba kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. In the 82nd minute, Lazaros Tsakrilis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Anastasios Perakis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jo Blanchaert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Theofilos Touboulis in the 92nd minute of play forced Average Joes's goalkeeper Victoriano Abel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Victoriano Abel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Soulis Partalis, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. 95 minutes had been played when some careless play by Average Joes's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Panos Ntountas was slow to take the kick. During this time Olympiacos FC's players had a chance to rest. Victoriano Abel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Theofilos Touboulis in the 97th minute of the match. The Olympiacos FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Average Joes were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
