Botinho FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Christiano Rezende was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Higinio Loramendi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dionisio Peruxu hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Christiano Rezende fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Higinio Loramendi having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Botinho FC's zone, Cristo Leheren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hílton Magalhães came out of the goal and Cristo Leheren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 41 minutes into the match, Botinho FC's goalkeeper Hílton Magalhães had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristo Leheren. Mauro Jon charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mauro Jon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 43 played minutes Italia got a freekick which was hit by Mauro Jon. With 44 minutes on the clock, Anier Ranolfo commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 44th minute, one of Italia:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Italia.

Faustino Ralondo's late challenge caught a Botinho FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Faustino Ralondo helped the player get up and apologised. Faustino Ralondo hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match.
