The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Hílton Magalhães made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Trifon Chalkias in the 5th minute of play. In the 9th minute of the match Iosif Protopapadakis sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hílton Magalhães skillfully saved the ball. Benjamin Rossi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Evaggelos Kostantelos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. Hílton Magalhães showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Orestis Krios, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. TZITZIFIES's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Lambros Lazaridis in the 19th minute. A nice corner shot did that Lambros Lazaridis got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Hílton Magalhães quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 27th minute, Giorgos Kaldelis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Botinho FC's Hílton Magalhães played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Trifon Chalkias in the 29th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Trifon Chalkias during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Trifon Chalkias kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Trifon Chalkias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Orestis Krios in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hílton Magalhães prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Benjamin Rossi charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Benjamin Rossi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The wind increased when Benjamin Rossi made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Benjamin Rossi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evaggelos Kostantelos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benjamin Rossi made a great header on Botinho FC's corner, it was just that TZITZIFIES's Evaggelos Kostantelos managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 56th match minute, Botinho FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elder Sarmento to maneuver through the defense. 57 minutes into the match, Botinho FC's goalkeeper Hílton Magalhães had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Trifon Chalkias. After 68 played minutes Botinho FC got a freekick which was hit by Elder Sarmento. 70 minutes into the match, Botinho FC's goal looked a bit too open when Charis Terzis came free, but Hílton Magalhães reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Trifon Chalkias who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 77thth minute tested the skills of Hílton Magalhães when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Orestis Krios in the 78thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Hílton Magalhães, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Trifon Chalkias got free with Hílton Magalhães in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Trifon Chalkias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Trifon Chalkiass short, quick shot in the 96thth minute got Hílton Magalhães to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in.
