Horia Hulubei took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Damian Austin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcial Mingo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Denis Pădureanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Arnulfo Hulberto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Horia Hulubei made a huge save. Horia Hulubei came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by Hortensia FCG's Arnulfo Hulberto. But to his dismay, Arnulfo Hulberto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aristide Chihaia in the 11th minute of play forced Hortensia FCG's goalkeeper Marcial Mingo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcial Mingo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Aristide Chihaia went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Damian Austin during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 19th match minute, Hortensia FCG was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Damian Austin to maneuver through the defense. After 23 minutes of play, Ares FC -MM-'s Constantin Stoicescu made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcial Mingo was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Ares FC -MM- getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. J.J Ares hit a great ball. In the 28th minute J.J Ares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcial Mingo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Celso Sancho got free with Horia Hulubei in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by J.J Ares in the 36th minute of play forced Hortensia FCG's goalkeeper Marcial Mingo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Ares FC -MM-'s Iacob Ares got a free kick in the 37th minute. J.J Ares struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Marcial Mingo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ares FC -MM-. An unexpectedly hard shot by J.J Ares in the 45th minute of play forced Hortensia FCG's goalkeeper Marcial Mingo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcial Mingo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from J.J Ares, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when J.J Ares stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Ares FC -MM-'s Iacob Ares got a free kick in the 55th minute. In the 65th minute, Denis Pădureanu fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Hortensia FCG's defense didn't have a chance, in the 65th minute, when J.J Ares scored to the left of an out of position Marcial Mingo, making the score, 1-4. 70 minutes into the match, Hortensia FCG's goalkeeper Marcial Mingo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Constantin Stoicescu. Isidoro Tercero hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice moves Aristide Chihaia could shoot a difficult shot in the 74th minute, which Marcial Mingo however easily saved by the left post. Denis Pădureanu might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcial Mingo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Denis Pădureanu ran back to his position shaking his head. J.J Ares blasted a shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marcial Mingo having to make a save. Marcial Mingo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from J.J Ares in the 79th minute of the match. Esteban Rumaldo hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. In the 83rd minute, Ares FC -MM-'s Aristide Chihaia ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Marcial Mingo. Marcial Mingo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-5. In the 85th minute, J.J Ares fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After a rather tough play, Ares FC -MM-'s Iacob Ares got a free kick in the 87th minute. 89 minutes into the match, J.J Ares dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Marcial Mingo, 1-6. Constantin Stoicescu received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Marcial Mingo came out and tried to block the shot, but Constantin Stoicescu slotted it home off the left post making it 1-7 in the 93rd minute. When the match was over Ares FC -MM- could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Hortensia FCG throughout the match.
