Spectators: 7651 (Terracing: 5740, Seating: 1759, VIP seats: 152) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Jerry Gane got the match started through his kick off. In the 5th minute, Domingos Urdin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 6 played minutes Hortensia FCG got a freekick which was hit by Damian Austin. In the 7th minute of the match Dragoş Mustea shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marcial Mingo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 12 minutes into the game, Steaua Bucuresti -MM-'s Edgar Vlas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcial Mingo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 17th minute Damian Austin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gigel Tilea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Damian Austin's late challenge caught a Steaua Bucuresti -MM-'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Damian Austin helped the player get up and apologised. In the 27th match minute, Hortensia FCG was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Damian Austin to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Steaua Bucuresti -MM- getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Sabin Boia hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Edgar Vlas kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Marcial Mingo. That made the score 2-0 in the 32 minute of play. 3-0 became the score in the 35th minute when Edgar Vlas elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Marcial Mingo made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Edgar Vlas sent off a good shot on target. Nichifor Barbălată scored 4-0 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcial Mingo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Delmar Quico made the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Natalio Abreu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gigel Tilea was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Hortensia FCG's Gabriel Olivar got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Marcial Mingo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nichifor Barbălată went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. After 61 minutes of play, Steaua Bucuresti -MM-'s Edgar Vlas made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcial Mingo was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Jerry Gane managed to get in a good position for a shot. Steaua Bucuresti -MM-'s supporters rose to their feet, but Jerry Gane was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcial Mingo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 65 played minutes Hortensia FCG got a freekick which was hit by Isidoro Tercero. After a rather tough play, Hortensia FCG's Isidoro Tercero got a free kick in the 66th minute. In the 67th minute of the match Dragoş Mustea sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marcial Mingo skillfully saved the ball. Dragoş Mustea kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Hortensia FCG's Damian Austin got a free kick in the 79th minute. After a rather tough play, Steaua Bucuresti -MM-'s Ivan Pășcuțoiu got a free kick in the 81st minute. Edgar Vlas scored 7-0 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcial Mingo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 89 minutes into the match, Edgar Vlas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcial Mingo. Hortensia FCG's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edgar Vlas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgar Vlas in the 92nd minute of play forced Hortensia FCG's goalkeeper Marcial Mingo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee ended the match the Steaua Bucuresti -MM- players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
