The audience thought a goal was coming when Ciriaco Calvino got free with Edinho da Rocha in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 43rdth minute of the game Wesley Mangueira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Aves Negras's Rodrigo Espiridion was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 46 minutes into the match, Carrossel Caipira's goal looked a bit too open when Leo Lawrence came free, but Edinho da Rocha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Aves Negras players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Carrossel Caipira were winning 0-3.

Rodrigo Espiridion was a little too slow when Wesley Mangueira got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 74th minute. The score was now 0-5. After having played for 78 minutes, Wesley Mangueira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carrossel Caipira's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wesley Mangueira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leo Lawrence in the 80th minute of play forced Carrossel Caipira's goalkeeper Edinho da Rocha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aves Negras's Rodrigo Espiridion played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wesley Mangueira in the 83rd minute of play. When Leo Lawrence came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Aves Negras fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leo Lawrence couldn't finish the play. After 88 played minutes Carrossel Caipira got a freekick which was hit by Horácio Barral. 95 minutes into the game, Ezequiel Roldan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Aves Negras's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Carrossel Caipira the free kick. Carrossel Caipira's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
