Domingos Urdin charged in rather forcefully in the 2nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Domingos Urdin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Melquiades Firman made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Archibaldo Ponce sent off a good shot on target. Melquiades Firman came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by Los Pumas de Ocaña S.A.'s Manolo Candamil. But to his dismay, Manolo Candamil quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. 13 minutes into the match, Manolo Candamil had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Melquiades Firman. Hortensia FCG's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Manolo Candamil was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. 15 minutes into the match, Hortensia FCG's goalkeeper Melquiades Firman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Manolo Candamil. In the 16th match minute, Hortensia FCG was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Domingos Urdin to maneuver through the defense. Los Pumas de Ocaña S.A.'s Manolo Candamil got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Melquiades Firman came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Los Pumas de Ocaña S.A.'s Manolo Candamil. But to his dismay, Manolo Candamil quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Melquiades Firman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manolo Candamil in the 24th minute of play. The supporters of Los Pumas de Ocaña S.A. booed when Hortensia FCG was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. German Llorenc didn't get a good kick on the ball. Melquiades Firman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manolo Candamil in the 28th minute of the match. 29 minutes into the match, Hortensia FCG's goalkeeper Melquiades Firman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Manolo Candamil. Hortensia FCG's Melquiades Firman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Hortensia FCG from getting a goal against them. Angelo Guerra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agustin Iraido, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Thanks to some nice moves Archibaldo Ponce could shoot a difficult shot in the 37th minute, which Melquiades Firman however easily saved by the left post. Melquiades Firman made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Guifre Irureta sent off a good shot on target. Melquiades Firman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xacintu Marin, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Melquiades Firman was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Archibaldo Ponce showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-0 in the 44 minute of play. In the 47th minute, Manolo Candamil left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Los Pumas de Ocaña S.A. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Agustin Iraido to make the kick off. Melquiades Firman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gomesano Santalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. But to his dismay, Rubén Albizua quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. Hortensia FCG's Melquiades Firman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Archibaldo Ponce in the 64th minute of play. Melquiades Firman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guifre Irureta in the 66th minute of play. If Delmar Quico had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Archibaldo Ponce managed to get in a good position for a shot. Los Pumas de Ocaña S.A.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Archibaldo Ponce was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Melquiades Firman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Hortensia FCG fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Melquiades Firman should have stopped the shot. In the 94th minute Archibaldo Ponce shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Melquiades Firman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 95th match minute, Los Pumas de Ocaña S.A. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gomesano Santalla to maneuver through the defense. When the referee ended the match the Los Pumas de Ocaña S.A. players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
