An unexpectedly hard shot by Robertas Lewandowski in the 12th minute of play forced Clube Audax Metropolitano's goalkeeper Pedro Rangel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Eliézer da Cunha fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Clube Audax Metropolitano's protests and gave Eliézer da Cunha a yellow card for diving instead. Eliézer da Cunha kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Pedro Rangel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robertas Lewandowski in the 24th minute of the match. In the 26th minute Robertas Lewandowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Rangel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Clube Audax Metropolitano booed when Zielonka Gdansk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Janusz Puchlik didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hamílton Xavier blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Stefan Ciempa having to make a save. 28 minutes into the match, Zielonka Gdansk's goalkeeper Stefan Ciempa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hamílton Xavier. Eliézer da Cunha was shown his second yellow card after 32 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 32 played minutes Clube Audax Metropolitano got a freekick which was hit by Eliézer da Cunha. 35 minutes into the match, Robertas Lewandowski notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Clube Audax Metropolitano's Pedro Rangel. Pedro Rangel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Yuri Djorkaeff managed to get in a good position for a shot. Clube Audax Metropolitano's supporters rose to their feet, but Yuri Djorkaeff was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stefan Ciempa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Yuri Djorkaeff kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match.

In the 53rd minute Alix Vance shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stefan Ciempa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 60 minutes into the game, Alix Vance cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Stefan Ciempa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hamílton Xavier in the 65th minute of play forced Zielonka Gdansk's goalkeeper Stefan Ciempa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yuri Djorkaeff in the 66th minute of play forced Zielonka Gdansk's goalkeeper Stefan Ciempa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 66th minute, Yuri Djorkaeff made a precise shot to the right of Stefan Ciempa. Zielonka Gdansk's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. Hamílton Xavier recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pedro Rangel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cyprian Kissel in the 74th minute of play. Robertas Lewandowski struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Pedro Rangel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zielonka Gdansk. Tobiasz Gdowik kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. In the 78th minute Krzysztof Kluska shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Rangel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tobiasz Gdowik fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Rangel having to interfere. Clube Audax Metropolitano's Pedro Rangel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cyprian Kissel in the 84th minute of play. Yuri Djorkaeff sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Zielonka Gdansk getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Janusz Puchlik hit a great ball. 90 minutes into the match, Zielonka Gdansk's goal looked a bit too open when Yuri Djorkaeff came free, but Stefan Ciempa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Alix Vance had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Clube Audax Metropolitano's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
