Paul Romeo succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-0 in the 19th playminute. Stayko Kalugerov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sergio Veremundo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 24 minutes, Bartolo Chesus mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chelsea Football Club and the Botev Plovdiv 1912 players grew even worse after the yellow card. Botev Plovdiv 1912's Stayko Kalugerov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivan Txeru in the 79th minute of play. When Botev Plovdiv 1912's Paul Romeo in the 81st minute got a chance for a shot 81st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Botev Plovdiv 1912 fully deserved thier win.
