The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the match, Botev Plovdiv 1912's goal looked a bit too open when Robertas Lewandowski came free, but Stayko Kalugerov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Szczepan Plachetka fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Zielonka Gdansk's protests and gave Szczepan Plachetka a yellow card for diving instead. In the 7th match minute, Zielonka Gdansk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Szczepan Plachetka to maneuver through the defense. Stefan Ciempa was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Velyo Vidolov. In the 10th minute Ognyan Filipov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stefan Ciempa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Ognyan Filipov managed to get in a good position for a shot. Botev Plovdiv 1912's supporters rose to their feet, but Ognyan Filipov was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stefan Ciempa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 19 minutes into the match, Robertas Lewandowski notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Botev Plovdiv 1912's Stayko Kalugerov. Stayko Kalugerov was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 24 played minutes Zielonka Gdansk got a freekick which was hit by Lucjan Okraszewski. When Botev Plovdiv 1912's Paul Romeo in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Krzysztof Kluska might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Stayko Kalugerov. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Krzysztof Kluska ran back to his position shaking his head. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Paul Romeo in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stefan Ciempa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 36 minutes into the match, Botev Plovdiv 1912's goal looked a bit too open when Robertas Lewandowski came free, but Stayko Kalugerov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Stefan Ciempa made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Ognyan Filipov sent off a good shot on target. In the 44thth minute of the game Krzysztof Kluska who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Botev Plovdiv 1912's Stayko Kalugerov was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Robertas Lewandowski made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Botev Plovdiv 1912's goal looked a bit too open when Robertas Lewandowski came free, but Stayko Kalugerov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 52 minutes in the game, Robertas Lewandowski dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. With his leg Stayko Kalugerov managed to avoid a goal in the 62ndth minute, when Zielonka Gdansk's Krzysztof Kluska fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After having played for 65 minutes, Ognyan Filipov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Botev Plovdiv 1912's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ognyan Filipov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Stayko Kalugerov made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Krzysztof Kluska sent off a good shot on target. In the 69th match minute, Botev Plovdiv 1912 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valko Mitin to maneuver through the defense. When Zielonka Gdansk's Robertas Lewandowski in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 75th minute Paul Romeo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stefan Ciempa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 77 minutes of play, Botev Plovdiv 1912's Ognyan Filipov made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Stefan Ciempa was left in no man's land by his defense there! Stayko Kalugerov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robertas Lewandowski in the 81st minute of the match. Zielonka Gdansk's Stefan Ciempa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ognyan Filipov in the 84th minute of play. Stefan Ciempa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ognyan Filipov went, in the 84th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valko Mitin in the 86th minute of play forced Zielonka Gdansk's goalkeeper Stefan Ciempa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Botev Plovdiv 1912's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Velyo Vidolov in the 88th minute. Robertas Lewandowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stayko Kalugerov having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Botev Plovdiv 1912's Bilyan Sapunarov got a free kick in the 90th minute. 95 minutes into the match, Paul Romeo notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Zielonka Gdansk's Stefan Ciempa. Stefan Ciempa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Zielonka Gdansk's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
