Rubinho Couto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Narcis Voiculescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rubinho Couto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Narcis Voiculescu in the 22nd minute of play. RED BLUE STAR's Damian Tender proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save RED BLUE STAR from getting a goal against them. 29 minutes into the match, Leões do Sul 53's goal looked a bit too open when Narcis Voiculescu came free, but Rubinho Couto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Elivélton Sarmento charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Elivélton Sarmento the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Albert Panaitoiu to strike the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Leões do Sul 53 got a freekick which was hit by Dorian Marquez.
