An unexpectedly hard shot by Göran Olofsson in the 7th minute of play forced Leões do Sul 53's goalkeeper Rubinho Couto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lennart Svensson during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 9th minute, Lennart Svensson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Johannes Biörnberg kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 15 minutes, Rubinho Couto successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Alberto Sena hit a great ball. If Göran Olofsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Göran Olofsson was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Leões do Sul 53's David Vides got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Rubinho Couto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lennart Svensson in the 53rd minute of the match. 54 minutes into the match, Leões do Sul 53's goal looked a bit too open when Lennart Svensson came free, but Rubinho Couto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Leões do Sul 53 defense, Göran Olofsson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rubinho Couto. The Leões do Sul 53 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rubinho Couto should have stopped the shot. After 60 minutes, Roland Haglund mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Snipers and the Leões do Sul 53 players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 60th match minute, FC Snipers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roland Haglund to maneuver through the defense. After 61 played minutes, Leões do Sul 53's Egídio Reis shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Emanuel Brandin came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Leões do Sul 53 reached it. Horácio Favoretto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuel Brandin having to interfere. Leões do Sul 53's Dinei Amaral managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Jarl Nässén in the 68 minute of the game. Rubinho Couto came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by FC Snipers's Göran Olofsson. But to his dismay, Göran Olofsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Rubinho Couto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lennart Svensson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rubinho Couto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lennart Svensson in the 77th minute of play. In the 81st minute Göran Olofsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rubinho Couto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The attack was good, but when Göran Olofsson in the 84th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Emanuel Brandin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mané Corrêa, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. In the 92nd minute Lennart Svensson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rubinho Couto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 92nd minute, Pedro Paulo Brodel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Göran Olofsson in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rubinho Couto saved Leões do Sul 53 from getting behind. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
