The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gustave Pierrel's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 6thth minute, Rogério Cenin skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After having played for 7 minutes, Finn Hegstad managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cospe-Fogo-Pelasventa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Finn Hegstad was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 8thth minute of the game Finn Hegstad who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Les diables noirs's Kevan Grange was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Jean-Yves Paturel came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Les diables noirs fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jean-Yves Paturel couldn't finish the play. Rogério Cenin was a little too slow when Jean-Yves Paturel got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 15th minute. The score was now 2-0. Gustave Pierrel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Rogério Cenin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 23 minutes into the match, Cospe-Fogo-Pelasventa's goal looked a bit too open when Jean-Yves Paturel came free, but Rogério Cenin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 26 minutes, Finn Hegstad mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cospe-Fogo-Pelasventa and the Les diables noirs players grew even worse after the yellow card. Finn Hegstad hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Jean-Yves Paturel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Rogério Cenin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rogério Cenin was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gustave Pierrel showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-1 in the 33 minute of play. Kevan Grange showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Finn Hegstad in the 39th minute of the match. Rogério Cenin was a little too slow when Gustave Pierrel got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 46th minute. The score was now 4-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Finn Hegstad to strike the kick off in the second half. After 53 minutes, Ernani Costa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cospe-Fogo-Pelasventa and the Les diables noirs players grew even worse after the yellow card. Rogério Cenin had in the 55thth minute some difficulties stopping Thierry Henri's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. The excitement rose when Les diables noirs's Thierry Henri after 55 played minutes turned away three defenders near the goal, and after that shot a ball that was too difficult for Cospe-Fogo-Pelasventa's goalkeeper to hold. Score! 5-1. A collision led to Les diables noirs getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Thierry Henri hit a great ball. With his leg Kevan Grange managed to avoid a goal in the 62ndth minute, when Cospe-Fogo-Pelasventa's Finn Hegstad fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The audience was convinced that Gustave Pierrel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rogério Cenin was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. Jean-Yves Paturel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Thierry Henri managed to get in a good position for a shot. Les diables noirs's supporters rose to their feet, but Thierry Henri was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rogério Cenin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rogério Cenin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustave Pierrel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rogério Cenin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jean-Yves Paturel in the 87th minute of the match. Les diables noirs's Kevan Grange proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Les diables noirs from getting a goal against them. Mazinho Marquez hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Deivid Massa hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. When the referee ended the match the Les diables noirs players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
