The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Through an outstanding action, after 31 minutes, Bumin Erçin successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 39th match minute, AN&KARASİPAHİLER was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ali Faruk Akar to maneuver through the defense. 44 minutes into the game, Sertaç Cansefa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The supporters of SSV Ulm 1846 booed when AN&KARASİPAHİLER was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sancarbey Samim didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, AN&KARASİPAHİLER's Bumin Erçin got control of the ball when Luka Roth tried to sneak it across the goal line.

Ali Faruk Akar charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ali Faruk Akar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, AN&KARASİPAHİLER's Ali Faruk Akar got a free kick in the 68th minute. Alexander Strzelczyk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mustafa Birol Birge, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. 77 minutes had been played when some careless play by SSV Ulm 1846's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. SSV Ulm 1846's Alexander Strzelczyk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sertaç Cansefa in the 89th minute of play. Mustafa Birol Birge fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexander Strzelczyk having to interfere. Sertaç Cansefa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. AN&KARASİPAHİLER's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
