Donat Collier might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alexander Strzelczyk. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Donat Collier ran back to his position shaking his head. 11 minutes into the game, Piero Quispe recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Alexander Strzelczyk. Piero Quispe showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. In the 17th minute Jakob Fricke shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rameriz Zubiaur saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 18th minute, Amadeo Brase left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SSV Ulm 1846 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. Rameriz Zubiaur acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 92nd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Toader Kroos. When Steve Hyuga came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Nova Soccer fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Steve Hyuga couldn't finish the play. If Steve Hyuga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Nova Soccer had won after a very even match.
