After 21 played minutes Erzincan MustafaKemalPaşa got a freekick which was hit by Kubat Acıbadem. Lapurdi Abendano made in the 24th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Ángel Ortiz immediately put the ball in play. After 26th play minutes Emre Kaya shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Nery Pumpido and just under the crossbar into goal. Emre Kaya charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Emre Kaya the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Nacional Potosí booed when Erzincan MustafaKemalPaşa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emre Kaya didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 48th minute of the match Cordeara Abenda sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Şadi Cihaner skillfully saved the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Şadi Cihaner showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After having played for 85 minutes, William Álvarez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nacional Potosí's supporters crossed their fingers, but William Álvarez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Yılmaz Kandemir was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 86 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, Erzincan MustafaKemalPaşa's Yılmaz Kandemir got a free kick in the 86th minute. After 89 played minutes Erzincan MustafaKemalPaşa got a freekick which was hit by Abdi Çelikoz. Şadi Cihaner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ángel Ortiz in the 92nd minute of play.
