Spectators: 7584 (Terracing: 5689, Seating: 1744, VIP seats: 151) Menderes Uluç made the kick off and thus started the match. 5 minutes into the match, Quirze Abello notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Erzincan MustafaKemalPaşa's Şadi Cihaner. Şadi Cihaner was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Erzincan MustafaKemalPaşa getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Mansur Rüşti hit a great ball. When Ángel Ortiz came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Nacional Potosí fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ángel Ortiz couldn't finish the play. Nery Pumpido made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Gabriel-Omar Di Berardino sent off a good shot on target. In the 15th minute, Yavuz Bal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 21 minutes into the match, Cordeara Abenda had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Şadi Cihaner. Erzincan MustafaKemalPaşa's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cordeara Abenda was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Mansur Rüşti's late challenge caught a Nacional Potosí's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mansur Rüşti helped the player get up and apologised. After 27 played minutes Erzincan MustafaKemalPaşa got a freekick which was hit by Mansur Rüşti. Erzincan MustafaKemalPaşa's Şadi Cihaner played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by William Álvarez in the 29th minute of play. Nery Pumpido made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabriel-Omar Di Berardino in the 30th minute of play. Rogelio Abel hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. In the 39th minute, Menderes Uluç reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Nery Pumpido. The goal made the score 1-2. Kubat Acıbadem kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Şadi Cihaner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from William Álvarez in the 44th minute of play. The supporters of Erzincan MustafaKemalPaşa booed when Nacional Potosí was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lapurdi Abendano didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half Nacional Potosí were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when William Álvarez made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd match minute, Nacional Potosí was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xabier Abaurre to maneuver through the defense. Nery Pumpido didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Seyhun Oyum went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. 61 minutes into the match, Nacional Potosí's goal looked a bit too open when Kubat Acıbadem came free, but Nery Pumpido reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Quirze Abello could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Şadi Cihaner made a huge save. Şadi Cihaner showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ángel Ortiz, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. In the 73rd minute, Nacional Potosí's Xabier Abaurre seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Xabier Abaurre the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Nacional Potosí protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Xabier Abaurre had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. An unexpectedly hard shot by Menderes Uluç in the 77th minute of play forced Nacional Potosí's goalkeeper Nery Pumpido to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 79 minutes into the match, Erzincan MustafaKemalPaşa's goalkeeper Şadi Cihaner had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Quirze Abello. Cordeara Abenda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Şadi Cihaner tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nery Pumpido took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Seyhun Oyum, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nery Pumpido made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Seyhun Oyum in the 92nd minute of play. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
