Candido Peruanton kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. 5 minutes into the match, Quirze Abello notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Yalapa's Constantino Elija. Constantino Elija was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 10th minute, William Álvarez made a precise shot to the right of Constantino Elija. Yalapa's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. The supporters of Yalapa booed when Nacional Potosí was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cordeara Abenda didn't get a good kick on the ball. 17 minutes into the match, Cordeara Abenda had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Constantino Elija. Yalapa's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cordeara Abenda was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Constantino Elija came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Nacional Potosí's Cresitobalo Abarca. But to his dismay, Cresitobalo Abarca quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Constantino Elija showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from William Álvarez, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. In the 27th minute, William Álvarez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Nacional Potosí fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. Constantino Elija didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Quirze Abello went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-6 was the resulting score. In the 36th match minute, Nacional Potosí was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cordeara Abenda to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Nacional Potosí's Oinaz Abadie got a free kick in the 38th minute. Yalapa's Luisito Atauri got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Constantino Elija showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cordeara Abenda, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. After the first half Nacional Potosí were leading 0-6. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Andres Peru made a kick off. Lapurdi Abendano hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Yalapa's defense didn't have a chance, in the 53rd minute, when Ángel Ortiz scored to the left of an out of position Constantino Elija, making the score, 0-7. In the 57th minute Ángel Ortiz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Constantino Elija saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 59 minutes into the match, Yalapa's goal looked a bit too open when William Álvarez came free, but Constantino Elija reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 60th minute Cordeara Abenda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Constantino Elija saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Nacional Potosí getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Lapurdi Abendano hit a great ball. In the 66th match minute, Yalapa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Urbasa to maneuver through the defense. Constantino Elija showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from William Álvarez, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. In the 76th minute William Álvarez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Constantino Elija saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ángel Ortiz took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Constantino Elija. Constantino Elija dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-8. The crowd rose to their feet as Nacional Potosí's Cordeara Abenda slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Constantino Elija. That made the score 0-9 after 82 minutes of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Quirze Abello got free with Constantino Elija in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Constantino Elija made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Quirze Abello in the 87th minute of play. Simon Eneto kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Nacional Potosí played a much better game than Yalapa and deserved their victory. The Yalapa players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
