Sebastián Dell´Orto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Maria Rosa in the 6th minute of play. After 8 minutes, César Larraechea mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tabalongo AFC and the MALAIA FDFDF players grew even worse after the yellow card. César Larraechea hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. In the 10th minute, Adelino Freitas sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Tabalongo AFC's Sebastián Dell´Orto didn't even have to move. Tabalongo AFC's Sebastián Dell´Orto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Orlando Bertassi in the 19th minute of play. After 19 minutes of play, MALAIA FDFDF's Orlando Bertassi made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sebastián Dell´Orto was left in no man's land by his defense there! Walmyr Pinho was a little too slow when Eber Larralde got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 25th minute. The score was now 1-2. In the 30th minute, Zé Pedro Torres left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The MALAIA FDFDF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. The supporters of Tabalongo AFC booed when MALAIA FDFDF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ademir Gomes didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Tabalongo AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. MALAIA FDFDF were winning 1-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Orlando Bertassi was the one to do the kick off. Orlando Bertassi's late challenge caught a Tabalongo AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Orlando Bertassi in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sebastián Dell´Orto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tabalongo AFC's attentive Lucero Smith managed to snatch the ball when Zé Pedro Torres made a throw-in in the 61st minute of the game. After 62 played minutes MALAIA FDFDF got a freekick which was hit by Luís Fernando Sampaio. When César Larraechea was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 64 minutes had been played. In the 64th minute, César Larraechea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emanuel Almendras received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Walmyr Pinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcos Soffia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. When the final whistle went the supporters of MALAIA FDFDF were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Tabalongo AFC side.
