A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 22nd minute, Marco Leoni ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ronaldinho Pernambucano was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. In the 27th minute Ernesto Coelho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardino Beltran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 32nd minute Marco Leoni shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronaldinho Pernambucano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 35th minute, Leonardo Chumo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The LA MAQUINA F.C fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. The supporters of Haridades F.C booed when LA MAQUINA F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bonifacio Gregory didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 39 played minutes Haridades F.C got a freekick which was hit by Iuri Gonçalves. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luís Eduardo Souza got free with Bernardino Beltran in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 43 minutes, Cafu Pinheiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Haridades F.C and the LA MAQUINA F.C players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of LA MAQUINA F.C booed when Haridades F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cafu Pinheiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 53rd match minute, Haridades F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cafu Pinheiro to maneuver through the defense. Bonifacio Gregory sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marco Leoni in the 61st minute of play forced Haridades F.C's goalkeeper Ronaldinho Pernambucano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ronaldinho Pernambucano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marco Leoni in the 62nd minute of the match. When Amílton Moreno fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Haridades F.C's protests and gave Amílton Moreno a yellow card for diving instead. In the 64th minute, Marco Leoni reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ronaldinho Pernambucano. The goal made the score 1-4. After 69 played minutes LA MAQUINA F.C got a freekick which was hit by Leonardo Chumo. Ronaldinho Pernambucano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonardo Chumo in the 77th minute of play. After some careless play in the Haridades F.C defense, Basilio Azevedo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ronaldinho Pernambucano. The Haridades F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ronaldinho Pernambucano should have stopped the shot. Julian Alva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marco Leoni received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Ronaldinho Pernambucano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Basilio Azevedo came free with the goalkeeper in the 90th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ronaldinho Pernambucano could save by the left post. With a little luck, Haridades F.C's Ronaldinho Pernambucano got control of the ball when Basilio Azevedo tried to sneak it across the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. LA MAQUINA F.C walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
