The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 10th minute of the match Selman Alptekin shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mauro Joachim showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Hayri İlksen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Isaac Ciano in the 14th minute. Alfonso Lastur received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Hayri İlksen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mauro Joachim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mehmet Hakkı Karadeniz in the 25th minute of play. In the 26th minute Isaac Ciano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hayri İlksen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Ahmet Ömür Akkın made the kick off in the second half. Hayri İlksen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isaac Ciano, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. After 62 minutes of play, AFC CERBEROS's Anacleto Sanchez made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hayri İlksen was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Samsunspor's zone, Isaac Ciano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hayri İlksen came out of the goal and Isaac Ciano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 81 minutes, Alfonso Lastur managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AFC CERBEROS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfonso Lastur was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to AFC CERBEROS getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Serafino Ofelio hit a great ball. Samsunspor's Selman Alptekin shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 85th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Mauro Joachim but with some difficulty. When Felix Azibar came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the AFC CERBEROS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felix Azibar couldn't finish the play.
