Edelmiro Galindos short, quick shot in the 16thth minute got Jayson Burnett to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Venancio Kaiet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeff Clemons, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 26 minutes, Santo Thomas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the River tu grato nombre and the AFTER GYM FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of AFTER GYM FC booed when River tu grato nombre was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Santo Thomas didn't get a good kick on the ball. 28 minutes into the game, one of River tu grato nombre:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Jayson Burnett came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by AFTER GYM FC's Anacleto Walme. But to his dismay, Anacleto Walme quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Jayson Burnett made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Anacleto Etxahun sent off a good shot on target. River tu grato nombre's defense didn't have a chance, in the 35th minute, when Iker Lartaun scored to the left of an out of position Jayson Burnett, making the score, 2-1. When Edelmiro Galindo fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AFTER GYM FC's protests and gave Edelmiro Galindo a yellow card for diving instead. Edelmiro Galindo hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the River tu grato nombre defense, Anacleto Etxahun kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jayson Burnett. The River tu grato nombre fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jayson Burnett should have stopped the shot. In the 47th minute Iker Lartaun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jayson Burnett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

Jayson Burnett was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Edelmiro Galindo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jayson Burnett having to interfere. After 67 played minutes River tu grato nombre got a freekick which was hit by Arkhyp Polyanskyi. When Arkhyp Polyanskyi fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored River tu grato nombre's protests and gave Arkhyp Polyanskyi a yellow card for diving instead. Arkhyp Polyanskyi kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Anacleto Walme recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 73 played minutes AFTER GYM FC got a freekick which was hit by Benigno Bidun. With 74 minutes on the clock, Benigno Bidun commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 75th match minute, AFTER GYM FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benigno Bidun to maneuver through the defense. Venancio Kaiet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elvis Waller in the 76th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in AFTER GYM FC's zone, Elvis Waller stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Venancio Kaiet came out of the goal and Elvis Waller tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, River tu grato nombre's Tadeusz Chodzinski got a free kick in the 85th minute. In the 86th minute of the match Anacleto Walme sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jayson Burnett skillfully saved the ball. Jayson Burnett showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edelmiro Galindo, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The AFTER GYM FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while River tu grato nombre had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
