AtAnAkAs F.C FSCMZ's Gláuber de Queirós played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geraldo de Godoi in the 20th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Taquaral Campineiro's Walmir Bezerra got a free kick in the 21st minute. Blair McCormick made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valdo de Toledo in the 22nd minute of play. The supporters of AtAnAkAs F.C FSCMZ booed when Taquaral Campineiro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geraldo de Godoi didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Kauan Pitta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Taquaral Campineiro's goalkeeper Blair McCormick, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Valdo de Toledo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Blair McCormick took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valdo de Toledo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sílvio Luiz Freire hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. After 43 minutes of play, Taquaral Campineiro's Sílvio Luiz Freire made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gláuber de Queirós was left in no man's land by his defense there! Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Geraldo de Godoi made a kick off. In the 52nd match minute, Taquaral Campineiro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Walmir Bezerra to maneuver through the defense. Gláuber de Queirós came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Taquaral Campineiro's Albino Steven. But to his dismay, Albino Steven quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Walmir Bezerra kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. After 69 played minutes Taquaral Campineiro got a freekick which was hit by Raúl Nóbrega. After a rather tough play, Taquaral Campineiro's Albino Steven got a free kick in the 70th minute. In the 72nd minute, one of Taquaral Campineiro:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Taquaral Campineiro. Rafa de Brito did an outstanding performance 74 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 1-2 to the right of an irritated Blair McCormick in the goal. In the 77th minute, Valdo de Toledo made a precise shot to the right of Blair McCormick. Taquaral Campineiro's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Geraldo de Godoi kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valdo de Toledo in the 81st minute of play forced Taquaral Campineiro's goalkeeper Blair McCormick to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Taquaral Campineiro booed when AtAnAkAs F.C FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Waldemar Baptista's late challenge caught a AtAnAkAs F.C FSCMZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Waldemar Baptista helped the player get up and apologised. The AtAnAkAs F.C FSCMZ fans cheered their team off the field, for while Taquaral Campineiro had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
