After a rather tough play, Taquaral Campineiro's Horácio Simão got a free kick in the 6th minute. The supporters of Taquaral Campineiro booed when LosPibardos F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Quique Figueroa didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Taquaral Campineiro's Waldemar Baptista tried to score from far away in the 13th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Leocadio De Pedro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geraldo de Godoi in the 15th minute of play. In the 17th minute, Sandro Barreto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 21st minute, Agustín Borrás left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The LosPibardos F.C fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. In the 24th minute, Taquaral Campineiro's José Pedro Reis seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed José Pedro Reis the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Taquaral Campineiro protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and José Pedro Reis had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 25 played minutes Taquaral Campineiro got a freekick which was hit by José Pedro Reis. Blair McCormick made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francesco Colillas in the 27th minute of play. When Donato Guerra fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Taquaral Campineiro's protests and gave Donato Guerra a yellow card for diving instead. Albino Steven kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. In the 36th match minute, LosPibardos F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Quique Figueroa to maneuver through the defense. After 37 played minutes Taquaral Campineiro got a freekick which was hit by Donato Guerra. In the 38th minute, Francesco Colillas fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Blair McCormick, passed just outside the right post. Blair McCormick showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marques Quevedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Geraldo de Godoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Leocadio De Pedro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francesco Colillas in the 47th minute of play forced Taquaral Campineiro's goalkeeper Blair McCormick to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Geraldo de Godoi made the kick off in the second half. Geraldo de Godois short, quick shot in the 54thth minute got Leocadio De Pedro to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a defensive mix-up in Taquaral Campineiro's zone, Marques Quevedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Blair McCormick came out of the goal and Marques Quevedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Leocadio De Pedro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geraldo de Godoi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leocadio De Pedro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Geraldo de Godoi in the 74th minute. Taquaral Campineiro's Blair McCormick played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marques Quevedo in the 76th minute of play. Blair McCormick showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marques Quevedo in the 78th minute of the match. Leocadio De Pedro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Geraldo de Godoi in the 85th minute. Donato Guerra kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. After having played for 90 minutes, Agustín Borrás managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. LosPibardos F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Agustín Borrás was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of LosPibardos F.C booed when Taquaral Campineiro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geraldo de Godoi didn't get a good kick on the ball. LosPibardos F.C's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
