Grêmio Prudente's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave TROMBETA DO APOCALIPSE MG the free kick. After 13 played minutes Grêmio Prudente got a freekick which was hit by Álvaro Travassos. When Zé Peres fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Grêmio Prudente's protests and gave Zé Peres a yellow card for diving instead. After 15 played minutes Grêmio Prudente got a freekick which was hit by Zé Peres. In the 45th minute, Dida Vale made a precise shot to the right of Thiago Couto. Grêmio Prudente's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Valdemar Valle to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arlindo Luz in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Renan Furtado prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Arlindo Luz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Renan Furtado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arlindo Luz in the 56th minute of play forced TROMBETA DO APOCALIPSE MG's goalkeeper Renan Furtado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Álvaro Travassos came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Grêmio Prudente fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Álvaro Travassos couldn't finish the play. Valdemar Valle might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Renan Furtado. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Valdemar Valle ran back to his position shaking his head. Renan Furtado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Serginho da Silva in the 75th minute of the match. Valdemar Valle succeeded in the game's 77th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 5-1. TROMBETA DO APOCALIPSE MG's Renan Furtado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arlindo Luz in the 83rd minute of play. 87 minutes into the game, Grêmio Prudente's Zé Peres nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Renan Furtado made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-1. In the 90th minute Arlindo Luz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Renan Furtado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
