After a rather tough play, SuperChango's Leandro Emeterio got a free kick in the 10th minute. If Paulo Román had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Humberto Sotero didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Paulo Román went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After 23 played minutes SuperChango got a freekick which was hit by Teobaldo Tartalo. An unexpectedly hard shot by Casimiro Bihar in the 28th minute of play forced Astros de México's goalkeeper Antoni Lopes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Feliberto Eyague fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Humberto Sotero having to interfere. In the 39th match minute, SuperChango was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teobaldo Tartalo to maneuver through the defense. In the 43rd minute Feliberto Eyague shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Humberto Sotero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 46 played minutes Astros de México got a freekick which was hit by Tomás Mangueira. The long shot by Eulalio Sotero in the 47th minute really tested Antoni Lopes's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Feliberto Eyague to make the kick off. Paulo Román recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 64th minute, Paulo Román ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Humberto Sotero was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Astros de México made a substitution. Ezequiel Aurre replaced Tomás Mangueira. The audience thought a goal was coming when Paulo Román got free with Humberto Sotero in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 87th match minute, SuperChango was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcelino Isadore to maneuver through the defense. In the 89th minute, Marcelino Isadore hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo Román in the 96th minute of play forced SuperChango's goalkeeper Humberto Sotero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the final whistle sounded Astros de México left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than SuperChango.
