The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jakab Sipos during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jakab Sipos kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gerardo Pirmin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Balassagyarmat SC's zone, Everardo Johans stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gomez Esperanza came out of the goal and Everardo Johans tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Primitivo Mendez's late challenge caught a Balassagyarmat SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Primitivo Mendez helped the player get up and apologised. If Gerardo Pirmin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Primitivo Mendez struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Gomez Esperanza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atlético Nacional. The audience thought a goal was coming when János Farkas got free with Wilfredo Berriotxoa in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match had gone on for 77 minutes, Gerardo Pirmin put it in 3-2 from a short distance just to the right of Gomez Esperanza. 84 minutes into the match, Atlético Nacional's goal looked a bit too open when Máté Kiss came free, but Wilfredo Berriotxoa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Atlético Nacional booed when Balassagyarmat SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. János Farkas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gerardo Pirmin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In a very dangerous position, a player in Balassagyarmat SC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 90th minute. Penalty! Gomez Esperanza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gerardo Pirmin, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. In the 97th minute, Everardo Johans got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
